Description
Short Breaks offer Children and Young People planned time away from their main carers undertaking activities that they enjoy, with their friends/peers, supporting them to become more confident and independent, whilst allowing parents a break from their caring role. Some Short Breaks involve the whole family, where parents don’t have a break from their caring role, preferring to spend time with family members, doing fun things as a family.Short Breaks can include: • activities and days for the whole family to enjoy together• holiday play schemes• weekend/evening clubs and activities. Short Breaks are offered outside of the school/college day and can last anything from a few hours to a whole day. During school/college holidays play schemes and youth schemes are available. They take place at a wide range of venues mainly across West Sussex, including community and leisure centres, and at some school locations. This Open Framework is conducted under the Light Touch Regime
