***Please be advised: A Pre-Solicitation Conference will be held via Microsoft Teams on June 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a site visit at 1:00 p.m. at the Blue Heron Nature Preserve, 4055 Roswell Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342, to provide more details and address questions.*** The City of Atlanta, on behalf of the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), will shortly undergo a Request for Proposals (RFP) process toward the procurement of a qualified Developer/Operator team to support the redevelopment of the Blue Heron Nature Preserve. The selected team will be responsible for the design, financing, construction, and long-term operation of a new purpose-built nature center that enhances environmental education, community engagement, and natural resource stewardship. Interested vendors will be evaluated on whether they meet the minimum technical, operational, and programmatic capability requirements necessary to support the City's goals for sustainable facility development and long-term management. The City's expectation is that the selected team will assume responsibility for delivering a comprehensive, well-coordinated, and high-quality solution that ensures effective project delivery and ongoing operational excellence.
