Description
The City of Atlanta, on behalf of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department, will shortly undergo a Multi-Step Sealed Bid
process comprised of a prequalification phase as the initial step, followed by an Invitation for Bid (IFB), towards
the procurement intended to support the continued purchase, installation, setup, preventive maintenance, onsite
repair, service, and parts support for commercial-grade fitness equipment at Atlanta Fire Rescue locations. The
scope includes cardio equipment, strength equipment, free weights, accessories, storage, mats, and related
equipment needed to keep AFRD fitness spaces safe, functional, and ready for use. Interested vendors during the
prequalification phase should be prepared to demonstrate experience supplying fitness equipment that meets the listed specifications, warranty terms, part availability requirements, and safe-use instruction requirements. Vendors should also be able to support installation, setup, preventive maintenance, certified repair service, onsite
diagnostics, and timely parts replacement. The City's expectation is that the selected vendor ensures the equipment is delivered, placed, balanced, tested, and ready for customer use at the assigned AFRD locations. The selected vendor should also provide dependable maintenance, repair, manuals, warranty support, and certified technician assistance so equipment downtime is kept to a minimum. Vendors capable of providing the full range of requested equipment and services, including upright bikes, functional trainers, ascent trainers, treadmills, fan bikes, rowers, climb mills, medicine balls, kettlebells, dumbbells, benches, racks, mats, installation, preventive maintenance, onsite repair, and parts support are encouraged to prepare for this upcoming solicitation process. A Pre-Solicitation Conference will be noticed and then held to provide more details and address questions.
