Description
The New York State Department of State (NYSDOS) will be contracting the services of NV5 as the primary contractor to develop a weighting system and map products through a geospatial sensitivity analysis (the Project) to identify areas within Long Island Sound (LIS) that are ecologically sensitive to disturbances from the installation of subsea and shoreside infrastructure in the coastal area, and/or may result in user conflicts. Geographic areas will be characterized with respect to suitability for subsea and shoreside infrastructure installation and time of year restrictions on a Sound-wide basis to the extent achievable with available resources and data.
