Lanier County FY 2024 LRA - Unity Ch Road, Avery Rd, and Lee Rd Improvments

Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of Grading, Drainage and Aggregate Surface Course Improvements to Unity Church Road, Avery Road and Lee Road for the Lanier County, Georgia 2024 Local Road Assistance Project until 11:00am (local-time) September 11, 2025 at which time bids will be opened and read. The meeting will be held at the Lanier County Annex Building located at 162 West Thigpen Avenue, Suite A, Lakeland, Georgia 31635 and will be opened to the public. Proposals can be mailed to the attention of Neil Ginty, County Manager, Lanier County Board of Commissioners, 56 West Main Street, Lakeland, Georgia 31635. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. Lanier County may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids. The Scope of Work Includes: Grading, Drainage and Aggregate Surface Course Improvements to Unity Church Road, Avery Road and Lee Road (0.906 Miles) All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of Lanier County in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for Lanier County. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to Lanier County, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract. All work on the project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.
