Gas-Powered Ballast Tampers and Tamping Bits

The purpose of this procurement is to provide the Office of Track & Structures (TRST) with eight (8) gas-powered tie tampers and thirty (30) tamping bits to support track maintenance and Emergency Response Team (ERT) operations. The equipment will be used for spot tamping of ballast in areas with limited access for Rail Maintenance Machines (RMM) and to address localized track geometry issues throughout the WMATA transit system.
